This number has rung me three times over the past few days. We never pick up calls from numbers we don’t know but on two of those occasions, a recorded voicemail was left saying there’s been suspicious activity on my account and they want me to answer some questions. The call sounded partly automated and was really poor quality - definitely not like the genuine Barclays Fraud Line. I’m convinced this is a scam and with fraudsters copying legit bank numbers, you’ve got to be super cautious until banks create a proper way to verify who’s calling.

this is defo not the barclaycard fraud team. i called barclaycard myself and checked. dont answer or reply to this number. if ur unsure, call the number on the back of ur card and talk to one of their advisors, they’ll tell u straight this aint barclaycard.
