The number 08001512100 has been calling me at odd times like 2am and 4am with a recorded message about fraud protection. I did contact Barclaycard recently over some actual fraud issues, but these calls feel like they're riding on that and using slightly changed numbers. Very suspicious!

They didn’t leave a message on my voicemail, but I’d already chatted to the bank earlier today. It’s getting really tricky to figure out where these calls are coming from. I’m aware the fraud team uses a different number, one I trust, but this one definitely isn’t that. They do send texts to my phone too, although the agent mentioned those texts come from short codes, usually five digits. Honestly, it’s hard to tell what’s legit these days!

Got a call from Barclaycard saying it was an automated fraud check. They asked me to verify or deny some recent transactions. Seemed totally legit and safe to me.

A guy rang saying he was from my bank but didn’t say which one, claiming there were some strange transactions on my account. He wanted me to press a number on the phone. The number sounded like it was linked to Barclaycard, but I reckon it’s a scam. Best to just end the call and not press anything.

While I was in Baden-Baden, Germany, I got a call at 9:33 from this number (08001512183). After I got back to the UK, they phoned me five more times throughout the day (at 13:35, 15:03, 15:21, 16:47, and 21:28). The caller was a recorded message, done by a British guy, saying Barclays was attempting to guard me against fraud. When I tried to ask who it was, there was no reply, just the machine. They told me to press any button on my phone "to keep me safe"... Honestly, I reckon I can look out for myself better than these so-called protectors.

I got a robocall from this number asking if a card payment was legit. To be sure, I rang Barclaycard’s fraud team and they told me the call and number were actually theirs.

It continues to ring incessantly, yet I haven't picked it up at all.

Received a voicemail on my answering machine claiming there was peculiar activity linked to my account and urged me to ring this number back. They failed to identify themselves, which is a total red flag. Clearly a scam!
