I got three missed calls from this number today but blocked it coz I checked my app and there’s nothing wrong with my account.

Didn't pick up the call but later got a message saying “You had a missed call from this number...” and there was a voicemail asking me to ring back. Turned out to be Barclaycard getting in touch about some possible fraud on my account, and it seemed legit.

This number kept ringing us several times throughout the day. The initial call had a message claiming to be Barclaycard with a person’s name, but the next few calls all had the same recorded voice saying they wanted to help protect us from fraud and to press a button. We ignored it and ended up blocking the number. Would advise not responding to these calls even if they seem genuine; if you’re worried, it’s better to ring the customer service number on your card rather than using the one they call from.

Honestly, this feels like a total con. Please don't hit any buttons if you get a call from this number. And those good reviews? I reckon they're from scammers trying to trick us. If you wanna check your bank stuff, definitely don’t use the number they give. Just stick to the phone number printed on your bank card, safe and sound.

I've received two calls from this number today. The first one left a voicemail regarding some fraudulent activity, while the second didn't bother to leave any message at all. Quite odd, really!

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM, STAY AWAY FROM PRESSING ANY BUTTONS! Got a call from 0800 1512167 claiming to be Barclaycard. The automated message was all over the place, sounded dodgy with a weird Wirral accent trying to sound like Three Mobile, but failing badly. Don't trust these Barclaycard calls like this. After I didn’t input my top-up details on the landline, the same number kept calling, but went straight to voicemail every time with the same unconvincing spiel. Ended up blocking the number and reporting it to BT.Com/scams. Beware folks!

Received a call from 0203 151 2167, which is certainly not one of those Freephone 0800 numbers. When an unfamiliar number pops up on my screen, I tend to just let it ring incessantly until it eventually gives up and hangs up. After it’s gone quiet, I take a gander at the caller ID. Apparently, it’s from Barclays, but funny enough, I don’t hold any account with them. Seems like the scammers are out in full force, trying to ensnare the unsuspecting. Well, they can count me out!

The person who phoned messed up my husbands name. Weve also had that automated voice ring us a few times. We got in touch with the legit Barclays number and, same as others said, they told us everything was fine.

Says they’re from Barclays Fraud team, but when I phoned Barclays using the official number, they said there’s no issue or anything logged. This number has rung me around a dozen times over a couple days. Likely scammers pretending to be Barclays. They even sent a text pretending to be from Barclays’ messaging service. It’s a pretty clever scam, watch out. Sometimes this number might be legit, but I wouldn’t pick up. Always call the number on the back of your card instead.

Got a call from barclaycard fraud team, defo not a scam, they wanted to check some charges on my card. At first it was an automated list of questions so i hung up and called the official number from the barclaycard website. They confirmed they had rung me and that i dropped the call, which was right.

Got a call from some fraud team with an automated voice and they even messed up my name. They said there were weird transactions on my account. I checked it through my app and everything seemed alright. It felt off so I just ended the call. They called me 4 times over 6 hours. Tried looking for a proper number on the Barclaycard site to confirm but couldn’t find any.

this is actually the legit number for barclaycard fraud dept. they called me about loads of suspicious charges on my card and when i logged into my online account it matched exactly what they said. they handled it very nicely, fixed it and sent me a new card. really good service!
