I've received numerous calls from this number, and it's become quite vexing! Each time, I've requested that any of my personal information be wiped from their records, especially since they had my name and address at hand. However, the person on the line was utterly unhelpful and insisted that they couldn't assist with that. It felt rather intrusive, especially when they insisted on bombarding me with questions! I must say, their manner was less than courteous, and I found myself being raised at multiple points when I politely declined to engage further. I’ve just finished a rather frustrating call with them. I repeatedly insisted that they erase my personal details from their records, yet the chap on the line persisted with his questions. I kept replying that I didn't know, but he just wouldn’t let up with the same inquiries, seemingly not grasping my hesitance. I must’ve asked him numerous times to delete my information, but he just laughed as if it were some sort of joke. When I requested to speak to a manager, I pointed out his colleague’s unprofessional behaviour, still chuckling away, while I reiterated the need for my data to be taken down. When I pressed them on where they had acquired my details, they mentioned a family member had filled out a survey but wouldn’t divulge who, citing “data protection” as their excuse. Now, we’ll have to wait and see if my information has been truly purged, but if I get another call from them, I can't guarantee my politeness will remain intact. What a complete waste of time!

I told them to take a hike as they refused to reveal who they were or how they obtained my number, claiming it was all a matter of the Data Protection Act and that they couldn't disclose their provider. I received a call from this outfit today, identifying themselves as 'Consumers Today'. Given that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I requested their official business details - like their full company name and registration number, especially since they claimed to operate from the UK (all UK businesses should be registered, after all). The first three blokes I spoke to insisted they couldn’t furnish that info and mentioned they were operating from India as well. Eventually, I got through to someone who admitted that 'Consumers Today' isn't a genuine registered UK entity, but rather a brand under a bigger umbrella. When I pressed them about the parent company, they simply refused to divulge that information. I went on about my consumer rights and all that, and the call abruptly ended with them hanging up on me! Charming, isn’t it? Nonetheless, I did manage to keep a manager on the line for nearly 50 minutes!
