This morning (01.09.2018) at around 10:20am, I answered a call from the number 0800128025. A man with a bit of an accent asked for either me or my wife by name. Instead of confirming my identity, I asked if this was a cold call. He replied with his name, but before he could say more, I asked who he was representing. He said he was about to explain, but I pointed out that he was only giving his name so far. When he tried to continue, I cut in again asking for the company name. At that point, he called me rude and said he’d hang up. I told him “Fine. Bye,” and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming they were ringing for Lloyds Bank. I told them I don’t do phone surveys and if they wanted to discuss anything else, they should send me a letter. The number they called from was 0800 128 025.

A woman rang me claiming to be doing a TSB customer satisfaction survey. She spoke so quickly I had to check if she was rushing to catch a bus or something! It was like one of those funny characters on telly, you know, where you can't quite catch what they're saying on purpose. After a while, she slowed down and I could finally understand and respond to her questions properly. When I used to handle calls at work, I always made sure to speak slowly and clearly so the person on the other end knew exactly who they were speaking to.

This number rang my sister like three times in just about ten mins. The bloke on the line kept trying to get her full name. First time she wouldn't say, then on the third call he tried saying her name and wanted her to confirm it but she just hung up instead. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call just now from an unknown number so I didnt pick up. Later I used 1471 to check who it was. Based on the reviews I reckon this could be one of those dodgy scams pretending to be from banks, so better watch out.

I got one of those calls too, thought it was the hospital cos it showed on my caller ID. I picked up and they just dropped the call straight away. Before I even said anything, a voice said “you’re not in right now”. It's strange because I got the same kind of message on a different phone number too. Seems like some businesses, maybe ones selling windows or boilers, are leaving automated messages on overseas numbers. It really annoys me as this number is pretty new. I’ve blocked like nine numbers already and they keep trying to get through!

Got a call claiming to be from Halifax bank wanting to know how I felt about a recent call they said they made, but I never got one before. The woman on the line just said “alright then” and hung up. Bit odd really.

On 26/01/18, I had a phone call where the person claimed to be from my bank. I checked with my actual bank afterwards and it turned out the call wasn’t connected to them in any way!
