Ipsos MORI, apparently a genuine market research firm from what I've seen in the comments here and the pinned post. Still, these days you just can’t trust unsolicited calls, which is really disappointing if you ask me. Check out the green post below. That Ipsos MORI number isn’t just for the NSS surveys. They do loads of different polling work for big firms and organisations. The real issue is scammers phoning up pretending they’re from Ipsos MORI to get info, and it’s hard to tell the difference over the phone. This needs sorting out by the government, honestly. Foreign scammers can way too easily use fake UK numbers or spoof ones to call us. Surely tech can step in to stop this!

Before the woman started talking, I noticed a beep, so I kept quiet (heard scammers sometimes record your voice to use it fraudulently). The lady said something like “Good morning, this is Ipsos Mor...” or whatever, then tried to ask if she could ask me a few questions, going on even though I hadn’t replied. Normally, people wait for you to say something first, so that was kinda dodgy. Anyway, I just ended the call and looked them up right away. They seem legit enough but honestly just annoying.

I always record my calls, and this one was over in like 3 seconds. What a pointless use of my time!

They rang up saying they were Ipsos Mori. I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service to block calls like this, but they clearly don’t care about that at all.
