I've been getting these persistent silent calls on both my mobile and home phone. When I decided to ring them back, it turned out to be Domestic & General. Eventually, when I managed to get someone on the line, they asked for my partner, who was busy changing the baby at the time. The person on the other end was rather curt and hung up before I could glean any useful information from them. I've since called to request that my number be removed from their list and even lodged a complaint through their website.

Isn’t cold calling meant to be against the law? Honestly, I received this rather courteous voicemail asking me to call 0800 1218147 so they “won’t bother me again.” Really?
