They didn’t leave any message, but when I rang back it was The Post Office.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the post office, sounded Indian and they knew my name. The line was dreadful and it just felt like a total scam. Definitely dodgy.

It's rather astonishing how some individuals fail to understand that older folks might believe they’re in for a friendly chat. It touches on a certain cruelty, really, to play with their hopes like that. It's quite heartless, if you ask me.

Haha, turns out this call was legit. I tried my "sexy adult" voice and asked if they wanted to feel something but probably shouldn't have said that. Bit their own fault tho, my number is unlisted anyway.

I received a call from that same number as well. Apparently, when you purchase even a single item from the Post Office, you inadvertently give them permission to reach out regarding their myriad of other offerings. Curiously, I ended up opting for the broadband service. I was a tad sceptical at first; however, the gentleman assured me that they wouldn't require any banking information upfront and tossed in an enticing three months free of charge. I thought, "What could possibly go wrong?" To my surprise, everything unfolded just as he'd promised. The router did take a couple of days longer to arrive than I had hoped, but then again, you can't have it all, can you? The only downside is that I now have to traipse down to my local Post Office to settle the bill, as I was hesitant to divulge my bank details over the phone.

Got a call earlier about broadband deals from the Post Office, but I was careful not to just hand over any info, could be anyone really.

I’m a bit puzzled about this unknown number that popped up. There was a mention of potential fraud, which has me feeling rather uneasy.

Missed the call and now it’s blocked, so I’ll probably never find out who it was.

I didnt answer. They left a really short voicemail, like 2 seconds.

Didn’t realise the post office did broadband too! Was quite surprised. I didn’t sign up straight away cos I’m still tied into a contract, but once it’s up, I’ll defo think about switching over.

I recently received a call from the same number. It appears that purchasing just one product from the Post Office grants them permission to contact you regarding over a hundred others. In an amusing twist, I decided to go ahead with their broadband offer. I was a touch hesitant at first, yet the bloke assured me they wouldn’t require any bank information and even tossed in three months for free. I thought to myself, what’s the worst that could transpire? As it turns out, everything unfolded just as he described. My router arrived a couple of days later than anticipated, but I suppose one can’t have it all. The only downside is that I now have to trek to my local Post Office to pay the bill, given my reluctance to share my bank details over the phone. - Caller: Telesales

Chatted with a bloke named Adam, proper friendly sales guy. Reckon they're from Essex since he had that distinct cockney twang! Part of the Post Office sales crew, he said they push some good deals as an outbound team.

got a call today from a guy who said he was Tony from the Post Office’s Telecom team. he claimed i’d ticked some marketing option on a product ages ago... i didn’t. usual cold call stuff. if it’s really the Post Office, which i highly doubt, they should honestly be more professional.

I got a ring from a nice bloke named Ted, said he was from the post office broadband sales team. He offered me a cracking deal - 3 months free and just £15.90 a month. Normally I’m wary of doing stuff over the phone, but since they didn’t ask for any bank info and let me sort my direct debit at the local branch, I decided to give it a go. Really pleased I did in the end.

Got a call from this number claiming to be the Post Office Telecoms Team offering Homephone and Broadband deals. Since I work for a telecoms regulator, I decided to verify the call and the products they were offering. I rang their head office, and they confirmed it’s genuine. I ended up ordering their Fibre Broadband. Thought I’d share this so others feel reassured after checking it out, and I managed to save some cash on my internet too.

got a call from some post office broadband and telecoms lot, trying to sell me stuff out of the blue. they claimed I'd ticked some consent box somewhere, but honestly, ive no clue when or what that was about. would be careful if i were you.

Someone said they were from the “post office telecoms dept” which sounds dodgy since they’re not allowed to phone me without permission. Definitely looks like a scam, watch out!

They purported to be from the "Post Office Telecoms Team." It's absolutely against the law for them to reach out to me without my permission. This makes them nothing short of criminals engaging in deceitful practices. Proceed with caution, folks.

Got a call from the post office pushing broadband deals. Told them off for cold-calling me since I only use their car insurance and I've clearly opted out of marketing calls.

A polite bloke who said his name was Ted called me and said this was some sort of post office marketing call. He asked if I was interested in a broadband deal for £15 a month, seeing if I fancied it. I told him I’m not the one who pays the bills and he’d need to talk to someone else in the house. Then he asked if he could chat to that person, but I said they were busy with other stuff right now and suggested he call back later. He said no problem, thanks for my time, and hung up. It sounded genuine but I’m not too sure.
