Can anyone share the phone number to get in touch with DWP about PIP?

So rude and in a bad mood. I answered their security questions fine but they told me to do it all over again. They kept nagging me and jumping to conclusions, it was really annoying.

Wasn't sure who was calling as I didnt recognise the number, so I just let it ring out. If it was the DWP about PIP, they usually send me something in the post since I'm registered disabled. I sorted all that with them about a year ago, so it seems a bit fishy. I reckon it might have been a scam or something cos they would have sent a letter if they needed anything from me like they always do.

Someone rang me claiming to be from DWP regarding PIP, then asked for my national insurance number. I did apply for PIP some time ago but got refused. He said I’d asked for a form but couldn’t send it unless I answered some security questions first. I didn’t trust it at all. I never requested any forms anyway.

Really watch out if someone rings up and asks for your personal details, anything at all - like your name or bank info. It won’t be long before scammers from India catch on to this number and start pretending to be it. If someone calls asking for that kind of stuff, just hang up and ring back using the number you have from your documents. Stay safe everyone!

This number rang me yesterday. It was someone from the DWP about my PIP claim. They’re now doing phone calls instead of face-to-face interviews if you’ve already handed in the forms. I’m not a fan of the DWP at all but the bloke I spoke to was really nice. He said I scored enough points and wouldn’t need a PIP face-to-face check. Honestly, wish they’d done this for ESA ages ago - would have saved loads of hassle, money, and probably helped lots of folks too.

I rang this number to request more time for a PIP application. Honestly, I don’t get why they’re saying no calls were made? From my experience with PIP before, they usually try to catch you slipping. I even took screenshots of the calls showing up on my phone, so they can’t really deny it now!

I’m in the middle of a PIP appeal right now. On 5th September, this number rang me and I spoke to a lady who said I needed to get my evidence to the Appeals office by 9th September. I told her that was impossible since I’m still waiting on a letter from my doctor, and she then said I could get an extension. A week later I rang the Appeals office on the same number to talk about my appeal, but they said they never made any outgoing calls to me and that there’s no deadline for submitting evidence at all. What’s going on here? I’d be really careful with this number.

I got calls from this number too. Two calls came through on my mobile and one on my home phone yesterday which I missed. Then today I had another ring on my mobile. I searched the number on google and saw it’s the dwp. I phoned them as I’m waiting on some assessment results, but the bloke I spoke to said there’s no record of any messages sent to me. This number rang me at 13:03 earlier today. I didn’t know the number so I just let it ring until my answerphone picked it up. But the caller never left any message! Reading other comments, it looks like it’s from the Department for Work and Pensions, specifically the Personal Independence Payment team. Got a call from this number, but I accidentally dropped my phone and the caller hung up before I could pick it up again. I called back and it seems to be from the DWP dealing with pip claims. The person I spoke with asked the usual data protection questions - mobile number, address, birthday and I had to say out loud that I get benefits. She told me the original caller hadn’t updated my account yet and said I should wait for another call. It feels a bit iffy, but I am waiting to hear about a pip claim.
