12 yearsReceived a call from someone claiming they had a message from my phone provider regarding incessant cold calls that I’d apparently been receiving. It was rather convincing at first, and I came close to being duped. However, my instincts kicked in when they began insisting that I create a password for them. They promptly became rather abrasive when I suggested I would verify their claims with my actual provider, which led me to end the call. After checking with my provider, it turns out it was indeed a SCAM. Just a heads-up to everyone: they sound credible, but keep your wits about you and pay careful attention to the details!12 yearsReceived a call from a number that was hidden, so I picked up - only to be met with silence on the other end. Just moments later, they rang again, claiming to be from CPS, and proceeded to ask for my credit card details to sign up for a lengthy three-year plan. It’s clearly a scam!
