BEWARE OF PAYPAL FAKE ALERTS! If you get a dodgy call or message, make sure you report it on the police fraud site. Just search for ‘Action Fraud’ or head over to ‘police.uk’ and find the ‘report phishing’ section. Take a moment to read all the info given, then add the details of the scam, including any website links or email addresses you might have. You don’t need to sign up, and they won’t ask for personal info unless it’s a case where you’ve lost money. The more of us report these scams, the better chance the police have to track and stop these cheats.

Just like others have said, I got a dodgy invoice sent to my PayPal for some digital service. I cancelled it straight away and now I’m trying to report it to PayPal. Totally feels like a scam to me.

Got an email asking for £188.22, just like the others that popped up before. Definitely looks like a scam to me, so I didn’t bother and just deleted it straight away.

If you’ve been hit by this, my advice is to dial 141 before the number and keep ringing them non-stop. It won’t cost you a penny, but they’ll get charged for every call. This is definitely a con, and I reckon the best way to deal with these scammers is exactly that. Whenever I’ve done it, they either just hang up or start shouting abuse at me.

What a complete con! I strongly advise you against granting them remote access to your devices! The PayPal invoice is nothing more than a standard bill, and if you choose to disregard it, you won’t incur any charges. Stay safe!

Capquest is the worst, seriously. They’ve got so many different numbers with local area codes, always ringing me up. Since I’m stuck at home due to disability, I keep thinking it's a nurse or something important. But nope, it’s all about debt collection. Loads of debts too, none of which are actually mine.
