I discovered that a number linked to Moarce.com managed to infiltrate my account through a delivery process and ended up costing me a substantial amount without my consent. This is clearly a scam.

Like many have mentioned, it’s one of those typical Indian tech support scams. Honestly, if you’re not vigilant with these calls, you could end up in a right mess!

Don't trust this number at all. It showed up on my phone and wouldn’t let me close the browser. I had to reboot my device and then run a virus scan just to be safe.

These folks just ripped off my 84 year old granddad for £300. Absolutely disgusting scam.

My grandad who's 84 ended up getting conned by these lot, they managed to swipe £300 from him. What a complete scam!

Got a notification while browsing on Google saying my device might be at risk. Total rubbish though, since I've got antivirus installed already.

They havent stopped calling yet. My laptop suddenly locked up so I called a mate to look up the number, lucky I did! Afterwards I ran a complete Kaspersky scan, fingers crossed it sorts stuff out.

I'm still on my laptop, but right after I post this, I'll probably hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. I was trying to check out a website called Water Research, but within a few seconds of seeing their homepage, this loud alarm went off, followed by a big red warning screen. Gave me a proper scare! What a bunch of scumbags. Luckily, my computer didn't lock up, so I figured it was just a fake alert. Nowadays, I back up all my stuff on a portable hard drive which I switch between my desktop and laptop, so at least I sort of feel safe. Bloody hell, wish I could catch the idiots behind this!

Got a call from some bloke named Prashant claiming he’s with Microsoft. Honestly, these scams are getting proper clever nowadays. He was trying to convince me to let him access my computer remotely and then wanted £299 for some kind of "clean-up". Absolute joke. Wish I could just chuck him down a well with a busted collarbone. The number he rang from was 0800 098 8706. Stay safe everyone!

Today I got this call where the screen started flashing red and some alarm noise was blaring. The bloke asked me to enter a code, but I just told him no and ended the call straight away.

Honestly, if you've got something like Norton or Kaspersky on your PC, you don’t really need to panic. Just close your browser straight away and then do a full scan to make sure everything's fine. Don’t bother ringing that number - it’s definitely a scam trying to get into your computer by installing malware. Speaking as someone who works with computers, my advice is clear: don’t pick up the phone for these sorts of calls!

Just like what others mentioned, I got that annoying red screen with beeping sounds. I didn’t waste a second and turned my pc off straight away.

Got this same thing happen to me, all this red screen and loud alarm stuff saying it was from Microsoft Tech Support. I was just on a forum chatting and reckon I must have pressed the back button trying to get back to my Google Chrome search results when it all kicked off. Real dodgy!

I saw a red warning and a trojan alert while visiting a website about stroke awareness, which seemed to have been compromised. They told me to ring this number, so I did. The person on the other end - sounded like he was from a call centre in India - asked some questions that seemed normal enough. But then he tried to get me to open a program that would let him control my PC, which I wasn’t happy about. I told him I’d check into it first and call back. After reading these reviews, I’m so relieved I held off!

My screen got totally stuck with some fake Firefox warning and a loud alarm going off. I was panicking until I saw someone on here say to hit ctrl/alt/delete. Without that tip, I probably wouldn’t have managed to get my laptop working again since the alarm kept blaring every time I rebooted. Really glad for the advice!

Just like a lot of others have said, I noticed something odd too. Right after I spoke to Tesco about my online banking, the @ key on my keyboard suddenly wouldn't work. I tried shutting down and restarting my computer, and luckily, everything started working fine again after that.

Got a call about a Microsoft trojan alert, with like a red screen and loud alarms blaring. I freaked out and called straight away, then used a different gadget to look it up and quickly realised it was a scam. Hung up, but they rang me back three more times. Told them to get lost properly!

Had the exact same issue on Google Chrome - the screen went red with a loud alarm, warning me about a virus or trojan. It told me to ring a number before I could keep using Chrome. The number was 0800 098 8706. I hit ctrl/alt/delete and the message just vanished. Proper scary for a moment!

Got a fake Google Trojan alert, with a loud siren and bright red warning that really caught me off guard. Before panicking, I thought I’d better look it up on this site first. Make sure to run a virus scan and confirm your anti-virus software is current. Just ignore these scammers trying to scare you.

On 16/09/17 I got a call from 08000988706 and it was basically the same as the one mentioned before but this time it came up as Firefox. They told me to shut down all my bank accounts cos someone was trying to get into them. The alarm noise was identical and the screen went red with a warning. It felt pretty convincing and honestly I thought it was real, especially since it appeared to be from Firefox.

I just got a scary alert on my laptop from 08000988706 saying it’s a Microsoft helpdesk because my computer supposedly has a trojan virus. It popped up with this loud alarm noise and made the screen freeze. If I wasn’t quite wary, I might have totally fallen for it as legit. Definitely felt like a proper sneaky scam!
