Child Benefit Claimants Receiving Child Benefit can also make you eligible, but if you don’t get other benefits, your household income must be below specific thresholds depending on family size. Evidence of income, such as bank statements or payslips, is necessary here. Income-Based Eligibility Households with an annual income under £31,000 before tax may qualify. This scheme, part of ECO4 Flex, involves councils approving eligibility declarations based on income evidence. Each installer submits the application, but the ability to apply depends on your council’s published Statement of Intent - not all councils have done this, which can delay access. Vulnerable Individuals Support is available for those considered vulnerable, which includes older adults, families with young kids, or people facing financial strain like debts.
