Got a call from this number I didn't know, felt like it might be dodgy so I just went ahead and blocked it.

I got a missed call from someone named Robin and a voicemail where they were mumbling about tech support for a problem I’d apparently reported. Since I did have some issues with my email and IP last year, it made me a bit worried, so I rang back. The guy said he needed to get onto my computer to check if my IP was compromised. Thankfully, I wasn’t near my PC, so I didn't go along with it and decided to google the number instead. Turns out it was dodgy, so now I’ve double-checked all my security settings. It really seemed like a scam.

Got a voicemail from some bloke named Robin, claiming he’s from tech support and talking about “support we had 2 years ago”. Didn’t say what company he’s with or exactly what support he means. Sounded dodgy to me, like one of those nasty scam calls trying to fish for info. Definitely wouldn’t trust it.

So I called this number about a problem with Facebook, and being silly me, I ended up giving him my password. Then he goes on about needing some proper antivirus and started quoting me prices - the cheapest was 150 quid for a year, or 400 for a lifetime deal. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

I first thought it was Norton calling me, but it turned out to be one of those dodgy ‘Microsoft’ scams trying to push their antivirus and anti hacking stuff. Total rubbish!

Had a failed fb login and then found this number in a google search offering “microsoft” support services. Just to say, microsoft doesn’t provide anything like that, so this is definitely a scam. Be careful if you get any calls from this number claiming to help.

Got a call out of the blue from someone asking if I was experiencing problems with my Facebook or emails.

I received a rather alarming call where the caller claimed to be from Facebook, informing me that there was an attempted hack on my account from someone in California. They bombarded me with a multitude of probing questions, all while trying to persuade me into buying some form of security service from their tech team to safeguard my financial information. It felt very suspicious, to say the least!
