Over the course of a few days, I got about eight calls from an unknown number. I just let them ring out 'cause I didn’t recognise it and didn’t want to pick up, but they never left a message. Finally, I answered the last call, and the person said they were from the Daily Telegraph subscription team - even though I cancelled that subscription like a month ago. It was really frustrating and felt like a total waste of time.

I rang them back with my number blocked and got a recorded message from Sky marketing saying if I want them to stop calling, I should ring Sky and ask to be removed from their marketing list!! They claimed to be from The Telegraph, saying the bonus subscription count went up from one person to three others. I’m really doubtful about this and don’t trust it at all until proven true. Why wouldn't they just email instead? The caller sounded quite dodgy too. Being a subscriber myself, it makes me wonder if The Telegraph’s been hacked and our phone numbers leaked.
