I got a call from this number and it turned out to be Halifax Bank, which is linked to Lloyds. So it's legit, not some dodgy scam. The number looks fine to me.

Does anyone know if this Halifax number is legit? I got an email saying to ring this number from a "Benjamin Wynn", who claims he's the "Complaints Manager - Customer Service". I'm a bit wary and don’t want to give out any info until I’m sure it’s for real. Can someone please help me figure this out?

Got a text claiming to be from Halifax, asking me to ring about some "concern" they raised. They gave me an extension and a reference number to quote. Feels a bit dodgy, like a scam to me.

just got a text from someone saying it's halifax about a complaint ive supposedly made. ive never made any complaint and the number had some weird extension and a pin thing. definitely sounds like a scam to me so im not bothering to call back. jay russell here, same story.

I got a text from this number that was supposedly from “Halifax”. The message said something like: “Mrs Harvey, we’ll be contacting you about your complaint. [I don’t have any complaint at all.] But if you miss the call, please ring Aalia Iqbal on 0800 092 2698, PIN: 1582008 anytime between 8 am and 8 pm today. Ref. 15426587. Cheers.” Then, barely a couple of minutes later, I got a voicemail from someone called "Aalia" who sounded Scottish, telling me to ring back on that number. Earlier the same day, I’d also had a call from +447800003951, which claimed to be from “Barnes Lodge Care Homes,” also asking about my “complaint”. Obviously, this is some sort of scam trying to make people call back and hand over info. Proper dodgy.
