My dad got a call from this firm saying his computer had ransomware and they wanted £500 to fix it. Honestly, steer clear of these lot and maybe let the cops know about them. It's a total scam.

some lady called Rose Carter said she was ringing from holotak in finchley, said my computer security was at risk. she tried to get me to pay to upgrade my windows security or something. yeah right, no way i’m falling for that.

Today, on our home phone, I got four calls at different points of the day from this number claiming to be talktalk. It was a recorded message every time, warning that our phone and internet would be cut off. Each call had a different time for when the disconnection would take place.

Got a message saying it was TalkTalk calling, warning my phone and internet would be cut off soon. They told me to hit 1 to speak to an engineer or press 2 to keep things going. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.
