this was a total rip off - ended up getting my bank involved to sort it out. being a single mum and really needing cash, i got tricked. lost £300 already and then they wanted extra £225 more. luckily my bank spotted it was dodgy and warned me. seriously, avoid at all costs!

I tried to get a loan for £2000 from this number 10 090 3239. At first they told me I had to pay £50 for some sort of insurance, which I ended up paying. Then suddenly they wanted another £100 for some other reason. I told them I couldn't afford that. Later on, they sent me £75 but with a completely different name on the bank transfer. They said it was so I could buy an Amazon gift card or something like that. Feels quite dodgy to me.

My gran got a call from someone who said she was “Rachel Green” working at Exel Technologies. Sounds like a made-up name, maybe nicked from a TV show or something. Bit cheeky, trying to con an elderly lady who barely knows her way round a phone. They were pushing some software to fix a "Zeus virus" on her computer. Gran told them she’d get me, cos apparently, “only a certified Microsoft expert” can sort it out. Funny enough, I do have a few Microsoft certs, but honestly, all it took was a quick Google search and a few minutes of tweaking the settings to sort the problem.

While delving into information about a peculiar alpine species, I stumbled upon a warning page purportedly from Microsoft, instructing me to ring a specified number. To say it was an unexpected encounter would be an understatement; I certainly didn't anticipate a scam hiding in a realm so unrelated to such activities!

I recently got an email that said it was from FedEx, but it was a total con. I didn’t click on any links, instead I checked it on a different device. Then straight away, a pop-up appeared claiming my computer was infected and telling me to turn it off right away and ring 08000903906 for a ‘diagnosis’. Of course, it was just a trick to get me to pay mega money for a fake issue. If you see something like this, just know it’s a scam. Your computer’s fine and there’s no need to call anyone.

I just got a pop-up from Microsoft Windows saying my PC has the Zeus virus. It said some unauthorised file changes might have happened and that I need to sort it out quickly to stop losing my personal info. They told me to ring Microsoft tech support on 080-090-3906 and give them this error code: wbcki457 so they can check it for free. Seems proper urgent!
