I recently encountered something peculiar on my computer screen. It nearly led me to dial the number due to (a) it being advertised as a freephone line and (b) the fact that I couldn't escape from the page. I can't say for certain if they attempted to access my camera, but I make a point to keep it covered unless I'm actively using it, all thanks to warnings like the ones shared previously. I’m relieved that I opted to investigate before taking any action. Here’s hoping that a simple restart will do the trick and get rid of them! Cheers for the reminder! - Karen

We recently encountered a situation like this. Thankfully, I had the foresight to verify the number as a potential scam. What a stressful experience! They were pressuring my partner for several hundred quid to sort it out!

They’ve mentioned they’re operating out of Saudi Arabia, which has me wondering whether they might be attempting to fund ISIS, you know? It does raise a few eyebrows.

What an absolute con! I had a rather alarming experience with this nonsense last night, same as my mate. When they picked up, they called out my friend's name as if they knew us. It was chilling how much personal information they had, even managing to turn on the camera on the front of my laptop! We had to slap something over it just to feel safe. Curious, I decided to call back after looking up the number, and the Asian bloke who answered was incredibly foul-mouthed and aggressive. When I confronted him about the scam, he had the audacity to say, "You're speaking to a man with two arms, two legs and a soul." I shot back, telling him that the police had been alerted and they would be tracing him very soon. His reply? "Go ahead, see if I care!" What a farce this is - I sincerely hope these scoundrels get brought to justice. Absolute thieving wankers!

This telephone number appears to be linked to a group of tech support fraudsters operating out of India. They’re quite persistent in their efforts to deceive individuals, typically claiming that your computer is riddled with malware. They employ common tactics such as:
- Checking the event viewer for routine errors and logs
- Using msconfig to highlight ordinary stopped services
- Running commands like tree, dir, color c, and netstat in the command prompt
- Deploying a script that, once executed, produces misleading security warnings. Beware of their clever ruses!

Blimey, I had a rather alarming incident just a couple of hours ago! Being a bit too trusting, I went ahead and dialled the number, chatting with someone after a bit. It wasn't until I had a word with my significant other that he alerted me to the fact that it was a scam. Then, I noticed something unsettling - my laptop was potentially being compromised! They had access to my camera and were attempting to snap pictures of my living room. We quickly covered the camera with a piece of paper and switched it off. I was utterly gobsmacked; you never expect such madness to happen! If it weren't for my partner’s timely warning, I dread to think what could have transpired. It’s disgraceful that they would use Microsoft as a front! Trust is a rare commodity these days.

Alternatively, if that doesn't do the trick, try smashing the Esc key a few times and then shut down any tabs you've got open.

Individuals associated with this number seem to be trying to blackmail people by claiming they need to pay to resolve issues with their computer. I've noticed that their message pops up when I update Firefox to version 50.01.

Should you happen upon this message, simply hit Alt + F4 to shut the window down. It appears they've designed the page in a manner that makes the back button refresh the same page instead of taking you back.

I strongly advise against responding to this number. It appears to be rather persuasive, creating an impression that your important documents might be jeopardised by dangerous viruses and hackers eager to take advantage of you. In reality, these lowlifes are exactly that: lowlifes. Do yourself a favour and steer clear. Best, Sammy.

My laptop got locked, and I was plagued by this incessant, irritating voice urging me to call a certain number. Of course, I refused to do so, fully aware it was just a scam, so be on your guard against these dodgy characters.
