I kept getting calls with some weird recorded message that told me to ring back a certain number. The company name they said was nearly impossible to understand, sounded like the start of the recording got chopped off or something. I had a bad feeling it was one of those scams trying to get me to call so they could rip me off with some expensive premium line. I reckon there was some robotic lady on the other end designed to trap you in a never-ending call and charge loads per minute.

This has got scam written all over it. They ring me at least two times every day, always leaving some automated message that’s just part of a sentence, as if they're hoping I'll ring back. First, they say the phone number out loud, then they go and say it all over again.

The voicemail started with a dull robotic voice reciting some numbers, then kept going over the same line: “the number to ring us back on is 0800 085 7595.” Quite a rubbish attempt. From what I’ve seen in other comments, there’s no doubt it’s a scam - people mention all sorts of scams involving PayPal and even the police. Loads are saying they reported it to O2 too, so it looks like there’s been a leak of some sort!

Even though I’ve blocked this number, they still manage to send me voicemails, sometimes as many as five times every single day. I’ve never picked up, but they just keep going. Really annoying! They say they’re from PayPal asking for money but PayPal NEVER calls you like this! Don’t pick up or trust this number at all. Just block it straight away even tho you’ll still get loads of persistent voicemails. Make sure you report it to a proper fraud team who deals with phishing calls. Properly annoying! They say they're from PayPal asking for cash but PayPal NEVER rings you up like that! Don’t pick up or engage with this number at all. Just block it straight away, though be warned you'll probably keep getting loads of voicemails. Definitely report it to a legit fraud department that deals with phishing calls. It’s clear this is some sort of robo-call that just never quits. I’ve reported the number myself and really hope they check it out and deal with it quickly before anyone falls foul. When I checked it out, turns out it's a scam linked to the same lot who keep bothering me from a different number pretending to be PayPal. I don't use PayPal at all, so it's obviously a con! Really wish they'd quit pestering me now.

Claiming to be Paypal, but they’re definitely not. I’ve had about 5 calls from them over the last few weeks. They told me to confirm my ID through email and said it didn’t match their records. I could tell they were just making it up. Paypal themselves told me it wasn’t them. They said they’d get in touch via email or message if needed.

Got two calls from 08005870463 earlier today, left a voicemail saying to ring 08000857595 but didn’t say why. Feels a bit dodgy, probably a scam.

They said they were from PayPal but I rang PayPal myself and this call wasn’t from them. Total scam. Watch out, they try and get your bank info and other personal details.

Dodgy calls, got a few from these lot and even some voicemails about my PayPal balance. Rang PayPal using their official number on their website, and they told me not to share any info with this number since it’s definitely not theirs.

PayPal messaged me saying I had a balance due, which surprised me since it normally just pulls the cash straight from my bank since I use it a lot. So, I topped up my PayPal account to be safe. Lately, I've been getting calls from this number and I blocked it, but they keep leaving voicemails daily. I’m not sure how to make it stop. Could my PayPal be hacked? Should I just make a new account?

I keep recieving calls daily from 0207 953 2031, and the voicemail always tells me to ring 0800 085 7595. Ive blocked both numbers, but they still get through to my voicemail. What’s the point of the telephone preference service if it doesnt stop this?

I’ve blocked them, but they still get through and leave like one voicemail a day. Proper irritating pests.
