Got a call from 08000698491 but I didnt pick up and they didnt bother leaving a message either. So I just decided to block the number.

Received a robo call claiming to be from HMRC saying they were taking legal action against me and telling me to press 1 to speak to someone for more details. It sounded dodgy straight away, so I ended the call and later checked with HMRC who confirmed it was a scam. They mentioned loads of people are reporting similar calls at the moment and advised not to respond or share any info. Most would probably spot it as fake, but for anyone unsure or tempted to answer, just watch out - these calls are going around.
