I got a message stating, 'TSB has detected activity on your card. If you recognise this, reply Y to verify. If it's not you, please contact our fraud team at 08000584136.' It's clearly a scam; there's no record of anything on my online banking, plus that number doesn’t have any connection to TSB whatsoever.

I’ve had a message come through from this number that seemed to be from TSB, but it was signed off as “TSB.” instead of the proper “TSB” like the authentic ones I've received before. Plus, it lacked the usual identifying details, such as the last four digits of my account or my name. The message prompted me to reply with a “Y” or call the number mentioned, which definitely isn’t their official fraud hotline. Looks to me like a classic phishing scam.

Avoid sharing any information or even attempting to ring that number. It's undoubtedly a scam. Stay vigilant!

I must say, much like other accounts I've stumbled upon, I received a rather convincing phone call from a chap claiming to be with the fraud team at TSB. He was exceedingly polite, using terms like "madame" with a charming flair. Given that my card had just been declined about half an hour prior, I was initially inclined to trust him. However, things took a turn when he began probing for information pertaining to my debit card, despite me having used my credit card. That was when the entire scenario began to feel a bit dodgy. When I mentioned that I couldn’t recall the answers to my security questions, he insisted that I must visit a branch for verification. He was quite persistent in encouraging me to try and remember, threatening that I wouldn’t be able to access my card otherwise. Once I calmly stated that it was alright, he seemed to relent and that was the end of our conversation.

I've now received a text from someone claiming to be "TSB" for the second time. It read: "TSB has detected a recent transaction on your card. If you made this transaction, please reply with Y to confirm. If you did not, contact our fraud team on 08000584136." Naturally, I checked my online banking, and lo and behold, that number was nowhere to be found in their contact information. That was my cue to realise it was a scam. Out of curiosity, I decided to look up the number, which led me to this website. I’ve had no intention of replying to that text. When I called the number back, the first thing I heard was that the call was being recorded, so I promptly ended the call. Shortly after, they called me again, claiming to be the fraud department of TSB, and I hung up once more. Having fallen victim to scams previously and being a fan of "Scammer Payback" on YouTube, I’m quite wary about believing unsolicited communications-be it emails, texts, or calls. Just a heads up to everyone out there, keep your wits about you and stay safe! :)

This number is trying to pull a fast one, posing as someone from the TSB mobile fraud team. It’s just a bunch of clever fools. They don't seem to realise their antics won't end well for them!

Take heed, folks! This is definitely a scam-got a call from a chap with a Nigerian accent. Just putting it out there so you don’t fall into the trap! You’ve been forewarned!

I received an email notifying me that my Barclays debit card was declined due to suspected fraud linked to an Argos transaction. The odd thing is, I don’t even possess a Barclays debit card! How bizarre is that?

Just received a dodgy message claiming to be from TSB, saying my card had been used. Funny thing is, it was actually blocked and taken out of commission on the 11th of June last year because of some scamming nonsense. These blokes really don’t know when to quit, do they?
