I've just received a rather puzzling letter from SAGA Car Insurance, stating that I had made an inquiry about my insurance policy and urging me to ring a specific number to sort things out. The kicker? I don’t even have a policy with SAGA at all! It’s quite odd that they seem to have a policy number linked to me. Seems a bit dodgy, if you ask me. Cheers, A. Phillips.

I received a call from this number, and the bloke on the line claimed that there were numerous dodgy files being downloaded onto our home computer. He asked my husband if he could switch it on so that they could sort out the mess together. Now, my husband is quite savvy with tech - even though he rarely uses the PC - so this raised our suspicions. The caller mentioned he would ring back later this evening. We had a similar encounter a few weeks back, where a woman claimed our internet was playing up. Could this all be part of a scam? Cheers for any insights!
