Got a call from EDF Energy wanting to 'update' my account info, but i’ve never even had an account with them. Just a heads up - don't say yes to anything on the phone if you don’t want a direct debit set up. They can record you saying 'yes' and then use it with voice recognition systems to open accounts or take money out without your proper consent. Proper dodgy if you ask me, so watch out!
