Makes me wonder if call centres that look empty but have someone with a key are actually being used for this rubbish. Good on you for telling the police, I’ve reported loads myself. Some bloke phoned me, using my name, claiming to be from SKY and asked if I wanted to upgrade my phone plan. He wanted to know if I had an Android or an Apple. Then he asked for my surname, which I gave straight away, expecting him to ask me to spell it out, but he just hung up. I called SKY myself and they told me it was a scam call. They said they’d report it to their security team, and advised me to report it to the Police’s Fraud helpline.

I wasn’t certain if the call was about an issue with my account, so I called back quickly. For a brief moment, I heard them mentioning funeral services - honestly, I felt really uneasy about that. If someone does answer, these folks probably try to trick you into giving up loads of personal info and then scam you if they’re not legit. Definitely not happy about it.
