Got a call from 0800 0522170, some automated voice claiming to be Virgin. They wanted me to provide letters from my memorable info, which I didn’t recall, then asked for my postcode and address. After that, they asked how I paid my last bill, and when I said direct debit, they said they couldn’t access my account. I was about to say we’ve actually switched providers, but then the call just ended. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got these calls and messages pretending to be Virgin Media saying they sent me some equipment on 09/09/2023, then another saying it’s arrived, then another saying it’s been activated. Today, 21/09/2023, I got a message saying "Hi Jacob" (I don’t know any Jacob) telling me I missed a payment and my Virgin Media services will be cut off soon. When they do ring you, its proper people on the phone, not a recorded voice.
