This person said they were from some government department and that they would pay compensation for small businesses losing money. I’m not actually a business owner though. If they had given me an email, I could’ve forwarded the info to the right person. I didn’t say a word and just ended the call.

I’m pretty sure these idiots ringing us are working for some dodgy person or shady company, and they make loads of calls to earn a few quid each time. Honestly, I wish every one of those annoying callers got ripped off big time themselves.

I got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, saying there’s been some sort of fraud reported on my account and to hit button 1 to sort it out. Totally sounded dodgy to me.
