I've just received a message saying "Alert: your card has been blocked due to a suspicious transaction. Please ring this number." However, when I looked up the number, it seems to belong to a roofing firm in Cheadle. Quite the oddity, I must say!

Had a rather dodgy phone call today from something called One Life Funeral Plan. It’s beginning to feel like these folks might just be trying to pull a fast one.

Funeral service provider – I'd rather they refrain from contacting me.

I received a whopping eight phone calls from this number all in one morning! I strongly suspect that Barclays Bank must have shared my information with this funeral company, as they used my maiden name, which I’ve kept unchanged with Barclays since tying the knot. Quite concerning, really!

They didn't utter a word before hanging up the phone. Quite peculiar, really.

I've already blocked this number twice, yet it keeps popping up on my phone. The caller ID tells me it's coming from Coventry, an area I recognise well from previous calls linked to those 024 numbers. It leads me to believe there's a call centre in Coventry churning out these nuisance calls. Isn't there something that can be done about this? I was under the impression that cold calling was deemed illegal!

They addressed me using my first name while bringing up a conversation about a funeral. Quite frankly, it's not a subject I was keen on delving into. It felt very much like an unwanted intrusion.
