I told them previously I got calls from this number and was promised they wouldn’t keep bothering me but clearly that’s not true. Now they say they’ll ring me every hour starting 5 pm today. I've blocked the number but my phone still buzzes a bit each time. Does anyone know how to make this stop for good? I’m really fed up with this hassle.

I got a call from a bloke named Adam the other day, he told me I might be owed a tax refund from 2020. At first, I was proper sceptical and thought it was a load of rubbish, but I kept listening since he never asked for any cash or my bank info. Fast forward about three weeks, and out of nowhere, a cheque turned up in my postbox! Proper chuffed with that. I’m definitely treating myself to a nice drink this Friday and having a good weekend. I’d say give Adam a ring if you get the chance, he was dead polite and really professional.

Honestly, it’s like getting free cash, so why wouldn’t you go after a tax refund from HMRC? I called 08000472374 to sort out mine. The people on the other end were really nice and stayed polite, even though I wasn’t exactly the sweetest (my bad!). Totally recommend giving them a ring if you think you’re due some money back.

JUST WANT TO SHOUT OUT TO MYRA, SHE'S ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT AT HER JOB. SHE SORTED OUT A PPI PAYOUT OF £3005 FOR BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND, AND ALSO GOT OUR MARRIAGE ALLOWANCE SORTED. Oh Adam, what a gent! He rang me about a month ago saying he could help sort out some PPI money I was owed, and at first I was dead suspicious, thought it was another dodgy scam. But today I got a massive cheque for nearly £1987.56! I’m definitely cashing it in right away and planning a cheeky night out with my husband on Friday. So I got a call from this bloke called Adam Khan about some tax refund linked to a PPI payout (definitely sounded dodgy at first lol). He was super polite and really nice though. They never asked me for any money or bank info upfront, so I thought, why not give it a go? Fast forward 18 days and I got a massive cheque for nearly £1300 through the post! Completely blew me away. I’m Jennifer Lomax and honestly, I’d say give it a shot - it’s absolutely legit. Feels like HMRC are the ones who’re the real scammers here!

When I first made my claim, I had a chat with Lily who was brill with helping me sort out the R40 and that Letter of Authority - I’m not great with computers and my sight isn’t the best. Thing is, I wasn’t even in the country the year they mentioned, and I’ve never filed any claim like that. Then she tried rattling on about some supposed T&Cs related to this PPI thing. Got a call recently from someone claiming I’m due £750 about PPI. When she asked for my National Insurance number, I shut it down straight away. I asked why they needed it, and she just kept going on about how if it was a con, she’d be after my bank info - which she wasn’t. She spoke so fast, barely gave me a chance to say anything. Got a call while cutting the grass, some woman claiming to be from solicitors or something (I can't remember exactly) about a payment that supposedly came from Lloyds and a refund owed from HMRC. I just let her ramble on at first, but when I said I wasn’t buying it, she quickly hung up. Seemed fishy as I haven’t dealt with Lloyds in forever, like 20 years or so. Got scam calls all the time and blocking them is useless since they just ring from different numbers. What’s actually worked for me tho is letting out a loud whistle right into the phone! these people work on behave of solicitors, they usually ask for your email and then send you form R40 to claim tax back. but watch out, they take 39% fee plus tax on anything they get you. you can just go to the official .gov site and do the R40 form yourself free of charge.
