I didn’t receive a call from them; I was actually on my laptop when a notification flashed up, warning me that someone was attempting to breach my security. It instructed me to ring a number, so I did. To my surprise, the person on the other end claimed to represent Microsoft and insisted they needed access to my machine to resolve the issue. They had an Indian accent, but I wasn’t having any of it, so I promptly said no and ended the call.

Received a call purportedly from Microsoft, insisting I part with £200 for a PC repair. Clearly a scam.

I didn't receive a call from them; instead, I reached out myself. While I was busy on my laptop, a warning popped up indicating that someone was attempting to breach my system, urging me to ring this number. Upon calling, I was told I was conversing with someone from Microsoft who claimed they needed remote access to rectify the issue. The individual spoke with an Indian accent, but I firmly declined and terminated the call.
