I kept getting calls all day from what turned out to be a persistent scammer, but I never bothered to answer. My phone flagged the number as suspicious, so I just blocked it straight away. Honestly, folks should be more careful and not fall for this nonsense. The best thing to do is just block these annoying calls and report them whenever you can.

I’ve been ignoring the calls since they seem dodgy, maybe a scam or something. I’ve never used 3 or EE before, but the calls only began after I got some new kit from O2. Do these firms swap personal info with each other?

I got a call from someone pretending to be EE offering a Black Friday deal. I gave them my email, and they said they'd send me an email soon, then asked me for the passcode to verify my identity. The email I received was actually a legit EE password reset message with a code to change the password.

Could it really be Three or are scammers just faking their number? Hard to tell nowadays! If you’re signed up with Three, log into your account online and ring them straight away to verify. If it turns out to be a scam, make sure to report it and send the details by texting 7726. This info comes straight from the police’s Action Fraud page about phishing scams.
