They ring me at least a couple of times every day but I just let the answering machine pick up and they always hang up. I hardly ever use the landline and it’s ex-directory plus I’m on the no call list, but they keep bothering me. Thinking of unplugging the phone for a while since I don’t really use it, maybe that’ll make them give up.

On 7th August 2015, I got a ring from this number. The bloke introduced himself as Ajake and wanted to know if I was satisfied with my BT service. I'd only just signed up with BT at that time, so I told him I was locked into a contract. He just said ‘Alright then’ and ended the call. Nothing suspicious or annoying about it really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a BT partner called FirstSource, trying to push BT broadband and stuff. It’s mad how many big brands get other firms to do their sales calls. I just told them I wasn’t interested and they quickly removed me from their calling list. Pretty straightforward, really.

a bloke named richard rang me saying he was from bt. he was asking for someone i've never come across. when he found out he'd got the wrong number, he suddenly started talking about some special deal on my broadband to save money. sounded dodgy to me. then i looked up the number and found out it's been used by others pretending to be the environment agency. definite scam alert!

I just got a ring from this number asking for stuff like my postcode and account number, said it was to give me better deals or something. I asked what deals he was talking about since I was planning on calling BT about my bill anyway. Then he suddenly said he couldn’t get into our account. So what was the point of the call? Seems dodgy to me. I’ll be giving BT a shout to sort this out!

I got a call from this number earlier. The moment I answered, I heard a click and the line went dead right away.

I rang back this number and a guy picked up, said his name was Mike from the environment agency, and said sorry about the call. He mentioned he wasn’t sure why my phone got a ring except maybe some kind of error. When I answered the original call, there was just silence too. Feels like it’s more of a tech problem than some dodgy scam.
