I received a message claiming there’s suspicious activity on my NatWest credit card, urging me to press 1 for more information. I've reported it and blocked the number immediately!

Today, on Christmas Day 2023, this number rang me three times. When I answered, an automated voice began by saying my name, then mentioned some fraud on my Nat West Credit Card, asking me to press 1 for more info. I paused and it immediately switched to a message telling me to call back on an 0800 number. To be sure, I rang Nat West’s 24 hour customer service myself, and they said they hadn’t contacted me or spotted anything dodgy on my account. So, I’m pretty certain this is a scam trying to trick people.
