I received a call from someone claiming to be from Yahoo, insisting that my account had been hacked. They were quite pushy, asking if they could access my computer to sort out the issue.

I've come across a rather dodgy character who appears to be posing as QuickBooks Online in the UK. They're misleading customers into entering commands on their computers and are also attempting to extract payment under the pretense of fixing issues. They've been claiming that problems with the IP address are stopping users from accessing certain parts of the website. It's utterly baffling, as the matter at hand had already been sorted by the proper QuickBooks UK support, simply by switching to a different browser. Just a heads up, the genuine support number for QuickBooks Online is 0808 234 5337! Stay vigilant, folks!

I was doing some digging online for help with Yarhoo UK, and I must say, steer clear! They attempted to hit me with a £69 fee just to reset my password. Not impressed at all!

I rang up, under the impression I was connecting with Google's tech support, but was soon met with a request for payment to resolve my issue. To my dismay, just 20 minutes later, a caller from India tried to infiltrate my Amazon account. Thankfully, I managed to thwart their attempt!

I rang this number thinking it was the official Gmail tech support provided by Google, but what a faff that turned out to be! After an hour and a half of being put through the wringer, I finally threw in the towel when they started asking for dosh for some so-called protection software. The kicker is that it's nearly impossible to get in touch with Google to confirm whether this caller was genuine or not! Quite the ordeal, really.

I received a rather alarming request for £150 to fix an issue with my Gmail. Apparently, I’ve got some pesky thing called koobface infiltrating my system. It’s rather concerning, especially since I got this phone number from Carphone Warehouse for assistance regarding my email troubles.

I rang a number I found on the Gmail website and ended up speaking with Mayas Services (mayaservice.co.uk). They informed me that I had to shell out £70 to resolve my issues and to ensure my email account had the required security measures in place. Strangely enough, they accessed my details online from India, using Windows-based Google Chrome and Firefox, neither of which I use as I have an Apple MacBook. This experience has made me realise how essential it is for everyone to be vigilant about such scams. I genuinely believed I was in contact with a legitimate Gmail support line, which ultimately led to my unfortunate predicament!
