1 yearJust annoying people trying to scam you, total waste of time.1 yearTotally a scam, best not to pick up or interact with it.2 yearsWaste of time and money.3 yearsCalled me once but didn’t bother to leave a voicemail.3 yearsI received a phone call from someone purporting to represent an energy firm named IU ADVICE, or so they said. They were prattling on about conducting a survey regarding some supposedly "missold contracts." I promptly instructed them to cease their incessant calls!IU ADVICE3 yearsHonestly, it’s not some kind of scam! Super useful stuff, and I’d definitely say you should give them a shout.4 yearsGot calls from some energy firm claiming they’re checking up on sold contracts that were dodgy. Told them four times now to leave us alone but they just keep ringing. Proper annoying!4 yearsThey keep ringing my work about ‘investigating mis-sold utility deals’ even tho I’ve told them loads of times to quit calling, we ain’t interested at all. This company must’ve tried us like 20 times or more - proper annoying.5 yearsSo apparently there's some sort of probe going on about a 3rd party selling stuff to our firm. I asked for their website but she said she'd email it to me. I told her not to bother sending it coz I'd just block that email anyway. Then I asked for the web address straight up, but she said she didn't have it with her.5 yearsHad a woman on the phone asking about my bank details, but in the background I could clearly hear the buzz of a call centre. She rattled off some rapid nonsense about a government survey and a probe into malpractice in the utilities sector. That was the giveaway - just another sales call from a utility firm trying to sneak past by pretending it’s some official investigation. They’re lying just to get you on board, and frankly, if they have to stoop that low, you’d think twice before dealing with them.5 yearsI got a call from someone who spoke really quickly and gave a long-winded intro, saying it was some sort of survey. She dropped the word ‘government’ to sound legit, but then slipped up by saying ‘utility’ towards the end. I get calls like this all the time - they always try to sound official by chucking in words like ‘government’ or ‘department’ to hide that they’re really just salespeople. Since it was clear they were hiding their real motive, I just told her we weren’t interested and ended the call there.6 yearsGot a call from some supposed electricity comparison outfit. The woman on the line was really impatient and way too pushy. Not impressed at all.Submit Your Own Report (0800 029 1918)
