6 monthsA mate from Bank of Scotland customer support sent me this number through the bank’s app after I asked about something. I rang it, chatted with someone there, then got a bit suspicious and checked the number online. Freaked me out a bit, so I called Bank of Scotland from another phone to double-check. They told me it really is their Debit Card Fraud team’s number and that my earlier chat was legit. So no worries, but it’s always best to be careful.Bank of Scotland7 monthsGot a text that looked like it came from Halifax, mentioning the last four digits of my debit card and naming a business I’d recently bought something from online. It claimed the payment was cancelled and the transaction stopped, then told me to call a certain number. Didn’t seem right since my banking app showed nothing about it, so I decided to check out the number and found it posted here. Cheers for the heads up.Halifax8 monthsGot a call from what looked like Halifax but it was a scam. When I answered, it said "Welcome to the Fraud Team, please type in your account number and sort code"... Never mentioned Halifax by name though, even though it somehow used Halifax's actual text number to send me this phishing call.
