It seems that the DWP work coach only responds to those who are claiming benefits. Additionally, there was a notification suggesting it might be a scam.

I received a couple of calls from this number. The first time, I opted not to pick up since I was uncertain of the caller’s identity. However, when it rang again, I decided to take the plunge and answer. It turned out to be a woman from the Department for Work and Pensions reaching out for additional details regarding my Employment and Support Allowance claim. The call seemed genuine enough.

I believe I encountered my work coach from the DWP. If you’re on Universal Credit, it’s best not to cut off contact.

I'm really pleased I answered that call, as it turned out to be the actual DWP. However, I reckon those dodgy con artists will forever find a sneaky method to dodge detection. A surefire way to identify the legitimacy of the caller is that they ought to ask you those security questions you've previously established.

I'm finding myself uncertain whether this is affiliated with the DWP or if it's just a dodgy operation. It raises my suspicions, and I'm categorising it as risky since I'm quite protective of my personal information. I certainly don't fancy the idea of it falling into the wrong hands!

I put in a request for PIP around two months ago, yet I’m still awaiting any sort of response. Strangely, on the very day when I was due to be contacted about my Universal Credit claim, I received a phone call that appeared to be from PIP. Coincidentally, my work coach rang me using the same phone number, and we had a standard interview. However, she didn’t explain why she was using a PIP contact number.
Could it be that my work coach is somehow meddling with my PIP application, or are we perhaps seeing some sort of organised wrongdoing within the DWP aimed at depriving folks of their rightful benefits? It simply baffles me that I could receive a call from PIP without any clarification or information regarding my potential award.
