Phone number ☎️ 08000232022 👆 is reported as a clever scam where callers pretend to be from a well-known internet provider, saying they need to update your equipment. They provide fake engineer details and arrange appointments, even offering discounts for over 60s to seem genuine. Despite being cautious, many have been tricked, with money ending up in unexpected places like abroad. The approach is very convincing, using personal info requests and appointment setups that make it hard to spot as fake.

2 yearsSomebody rang saying they were from Gigaclear and that my gear needed upgrading (odd, since it was just installed not long ago). They said the money would go to some travel agency in Istanbul, which raised a few flags. They gave me the name of the 'engineer' who'd be visiting and booked a date and time. If you’re over 60, they said you only pay a small fee but they still need your personal info. Sounded legit enough. I usually know about these scams but still got caught out by this one.GigaclearIstanbulSubmit Your Own Report (0800 023 2022)
