For the past couple of years, Artiq mobile have been charging me £15 a month without me ever signing up for anything. Honestly, they should be refunding anyone who's had money wrongly taken. If this has happened to you, you might wanna get in touch with them at [email protected].

For several months now, this number has been taking money from me. When I rang to sort it out, I managed to get a partial refund, but the charges haven’t stopped. I reckon Trading Standards should be alerted because this looks like a scam, especially since it seems they can do it without you even agreeing to it.

I had the same thing happen to me, some sort of scam where they’ve been charging me £20 every month for 7 months without me realising. I just called 080000155139 to get off their mailing list since I never signed up for anything. Not sure if I’ll ever get that money back though, feels like a lost cause. Just watch out for these dodgy charges!

If I don't get back the full amount they took without asking, I'm going to report this to trading standards and the Police as well. I’m not willing to share my bank info because I really don't trust this lot, and honestly, I’m even worried about having given them my email address. They better send me a cheque, otherwise I’ll have no choice but to push things further and even contact the BBC.

For about a month now, I've noticed £4.50 being taken from my account weekly, even though I never signed up for Whizz Kids. This feels like a total scam, and something really needs to be done about it. I'm going to report this issue to the proper officials. The charges seem to be linked to Artiq BV.

For a few months now, i've gotten texts almost every week, but today i got one saying i'd been charged £4.50 weekly for something i don’t remember signing up to. I rang the helpline they mentioned, and they guaranteed no more messages or fees. Guess i'll just have to wait and find out if thats true.

Since August, this number has been charging me £4.50 every week and I honestly have no idea how it got activated in the first place. Vodafone keeps allowing the payments but won’t put a stop to it. I did receive messages from Wizzmind, but just assumed it was some kind of scam! I rang them up last month to cancel, yet they still managed to take £19 from me this month. Tried to block the direct debit via my bank, but it still went through :-( I’ve been told to get in touch with “Phonepayplus” and file a complaint. Would recommend anyone else in the same boat to do the same.

I had the exact same issue with EE. Somehow scammers managed to take £42 from my account by charging me for stuff I never asked for or bought. It’s really worrying that the provider lets this happen and gives these fraudsters access to our bank info. People need to report this straight away and let EE know they’re letting this scam go on. I’m looking into what I can do next about it...

I just can’t get my head around how Virgin Mobile lets these scammers drain money from honest customers like me. I’m on a 12 pound plan, but somehow I’ve ended up paying over 13 pounds extra for two months straight to these fraudsters. It’s crazy that nothing’s being done about it. My situation is pretty much the same as the ones mentioned here. I never signed up for any add-ons, and I’ve phoned them twice, yet they keep taking money from my bank. It feels like Virgin must be sharing my details with these people. If anyone from Virgin reads this, seriously just stop it!

In just one month, I've lost £4.50 to this scam on three different occasions, and frustratingly, my network company, 3, seems to be turning a blind eye! You’d think they’d have clued up about this and similar numbers by now, right?

Wizzminds has also taken money from my bank without my say so, and I can’t get hold of them to stop it! I’ve gone ahead and blocked their number on my phone now, hoping that sorts it out. A few days ago I got a phone call telling me I'd won a £500 voucher for Morrison's. They then asked me to give my bank details, which I obviously said no to. The following day, the same number rang me again, this time saying the £500 would actually be paid straight into my bank account, not just a voucher for Morrison's. It was a bit tempting, but I still didn't share any of my info.

I had a similar experience. I contacted them and despite a terrible connection, I managed to hear them claim I’d agreed to the service and refused to refund me. Next, I rang my network provider, O2, who called them on my behalf with a clearer line. They stuck to their story, saying I’d signed up so no refund was due. When I pressed for details on how I supposedly signed up, they couldn’t explain and then offered a partial refund of up to 25%. I firmly said I wanted everything back, so they increased their offer to 50%, still insisting I’d signed up. After demanding proof again, they finally agreed to pay back the full amount within 21 days directly to my bank account. I’m a bit uneasy sharing my bank info but I’m hoping they aren’t able to take money from my account without permission. Honestly, watch out for these people. There's barely any info about their company beyond an Amsterdam address, no reliable records anywhere. Absolute lowlifes.

Quizawin is basically this platform where you can take part in contests and maybe win some stuff every week. They have all sorts of prizes, like gadgets - think iphones or even cash rewards that can be used on shopping vouchers. The company behind Quizawin is Artig Mobile BV, if I'm not mistaken.

this company is from holland. we went back and forth for a while, and they first offered me £9 back. i then insisted on getting the full £18 refund, which they eventually agreed to. however, they said they’d only send the money through paypal or a debit card, and i told them i wanted a cheque instead. they refused to send a cheque. so now, i’m planning to take all the evidence to my local police station.

Got a call from a woman named Emma who claimed I had entered some sort of competition via a third party and that £15 had been taken from my o2 balance. Absolute rubbish - I never signed up for anything and definitely never gave anyone permission to take money from my account. o2 and all other providers seriously need to crack down on this nonsense. These scammers should be locked up and made to give back what they’ve stolen. She even said she’d refund the money, but I’m not convinced, especially since she tried fishing for my bank details. I’m planning to report this to both police and trading standards. I’ve only ever given out my info knowingly, so if it’s out there, it’s gotta be someone else's doing without me realising.

Yesterday I mentioned getting a text message like this but couldn’t speak to anyone cause their system kept glitching. So today I called the number above. The bloke on the phone said I’d signed up for the Wizzminds competition on 24 September. I told him I never did, and he said it was from entering a comp through a Wannado email. I never entered any competition tho. He told me my “account” got cancelled and no money was taken, which was a relief. Then I asked how they’d try to charge me, and he said it would be from my PAYG balance. Problem is, I don’t have PAYG, and my phone company doesn’t have my bank info. He was really puzzled by this and couldn’t explain. Some time back I got scammed in a similar way while I was with EE, and they told me to block all numbers starting with 6. That worked fine but I’ve since changed phones and forgot to set it up again. Will gladly sign my name if anyone else is dealing with this scam.

Honestly, just bin your sim card and grab a new number, saves all the hassle. Don’t bother with sending texts if they’re charging 4.50 quid a pop, especially if you’re on a contract - will just end up costing you loads.

About a month ago, I got a text from Ryanair saying I’d signed up for a subscription, and just a few hours ago, I got a similar message from Wizzminds. Ryanair has already charged me £3.75, which showed up on my phone bill. I’ve contacted EE, but they said there’s nothing they can do to help. Got a text saying I'd signed up for something called "wizzmind weekly" which I've never even come across before, let alone signed up for! They took £4.50 from my pay-as-you-go credit without permission. Apparently, if I don’t text back "stop" they’ll keep taking £4.50 from me every single week. It’s crazy how they manage to do this without my okay. I really reckon the police or some official group need to step in and sort this out.

After buying a new iPhone, I got a message asking me to fill out a survey from Apple, which also said I'd be entered into a prize draw for an iPhone 7. I got a message saying I'd signed up for wizzminds, but I never agreed to anything like that. I'm not sending any texts back because I've asked my provider to block all premium messages. They took £4.50 from my Vodafone account without telling me. Please cancel the subscription and stop any charges. Can you please confirm it's done by text? Cheers.

Just got a message saying something like "FreeMsg Reminder. You’re signed up for Wizzminds weekly contest, £4.50 every week till you text stop to 61177. Need help? 08000155139". I tried to text stop but saw it’d actually deduct money! After quickly googling the number, seems like it’s a dodgy scam. Does anyone know how I can block or get rid of these? Cheers!

I got this text saying I’ve signed up for the MR-win £500 weekly prize thing and it’ll cost me £4.50 a week unless I text STOP to 69003. Thing is, I never signed up for anything like that! I did click on an email I thought was from Ryanair, but now I’m worried if that’s where this mess started. What’s the best way to sort this out? Where did they even get my number from?

They've been sending me texts non stop. I tried replying with 'stop' to 61177 but it just comes back saying that the info's wrong or something. Pretty annoying!

Got scammed out of £18.00! They wanted my bank info or PayPal details and told me to wait three weeks. Who even lets them do this? It’s proper awful.

I keep getting charged £4.50 a week from Thompsons Competition. To cancel, you just need to text stop to the standard number.

Money has been getting taken from my phone by these lot without me giving them permission. I haven’t had any emails or anything from them either. How do I go about getting my money back?

I can't believe how this company keeps sending me stuff! There's no way to unsubscribe, which is just so frustrating. Honestly, I'm really let down by how they handle things. Someone seriously needs to shut them down!

I GOT TRICKED BY THIS SCAM TOO, THEY TOOK £13.50 OFF MY PHONE BILL WITHOUT ME REALISING! THEN THEY SAID I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK IF I PROVIDED MY BANK DETAILS (YEAH, RIGHT, AS IF I'D FALL FOR THAT!). SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS - IT'S RIDICULOUS HOW THEY KEEP NICKING SMALL AMOUNTS LIKE THIS! ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET A REFUND?
10 years
I recently fell victim to this scam where £13.50 disappeared from my phone balance without me knowing. They promised to refund me if I handed over my bank details - as if I'd be daft enough to do that! Honestly, they’re more likely to get struck by lightning than see a penny back from me. The authorities really need to step in and put a stop to this sneaky theft, stealing tiny amounts like this. Does anyone know how I can actually reclaim my money?

Beware, this number is definitely a ripoff - they get you to enter some kind of contest and then sneakily charge you £4.50 every week. Total scam!

I popped into my mobile provider and they switched my number for me, didn’t even cost a penny.

Beware of the Morrisons contest trick. I’d suggest contacting your phone network straight away and asking them to block the £4.50 weekly charge. I use Tesco mobile, and they told me to ring 08000155139 for getting a refund. Also, you might want to report it to the police fraud line on 03001232040.

I got caught up in a Netflix giveaway and gave them my phone number, which was a bad call. Now I’m stuck with Wizzminds charging me £4.50 every week for a contest I never joined properly. I haven’t even replied to any messages, but somehow the fees keep piling up. I’ve reached out to O2 to sort it out. Honestly, we need to put an end to this dodgy scam!

Quizawin? Never heard of them before. Seriously, how do these guys even have the legal right (if any) to withdraw cash from your bank? Sounds dodgy as hell, like maybe if you reply to their texts, they start siphoning money off your account. And who’s given them your info in the first place? Especially stuff like your bank details? Definitely feels fishy and not someone you can trust at all.

I thought I was entering a contest from Morrisons, but now they’re going to take £4.50 from me every week! I’ve tried ringing 61177 to stop it but just can’t get through. I’m really stressed out about this, any advice would be amazing!

Got a message today saying they'd take money from my account. Tried ringing to stop it but couldn't get through, and texting them hasn't worked either. It's so frustrating. Honestly, this site should be closed down and forced to refund everyone who's been tricked by this scam.

I got in touch with EE and they kindly sorted me out with £20 credit and blocked that third party, Wizzminds, from my account. It’s annoying though, being on pay as you go, took nearly 20 hours for the texts to finally stop - and each one was charging me £4.50! Proper dodgy scam. Hope you manage to get it fixed too.

Got an email claiming I’d entered a £500 prize draw at Morrison’s and I put in my phone number. The message came from [email protected]. First, they sent me a PIN, 1113, to use for the contest. Then I got another text saying I signed up for Wizzminds’ weekly game for £4.50 a week, with instructions to text STOP to 61177 if I wanted out. I did send STOP and shortly after got a message saying I’d unsubscribed and there’d be no more charges. If you want to check them, the number was 0800155139 and their site wizzminds.com.uk. Feels like a dodgy scam to me!

I just noticed a mysterious £15 fee on my mobile bill that I had no clue about. When I contacted EE, they told me to call 0800 015 5139 because it’s supposedly for a download linked to a contest I didn’t take part in! Tried calling that number loads of times but never got through to anyone. Now I’m worried my bill will just keep going up because of this. Reading the comments here, I reckon I was right to be suspicious! I’m gonna get in touch with EE again and warn them not to share that number.

Just got this call today as well... What’s the best move? I’m only using a pay as you go phone and got about £8 left on it...

I'm going through the exact same issue. My network told me to call this number after they suggested I send STOP via text to opt out, but that hasn’t done anything. It’s already run up £22.50 on my bill. This scam really needs cracking down on. Can anyone tell me how to take action? These people deserve to be brought to justice!

Clicked the link and ended up unknowingly signing up for a weekly subscription... I texted STOP right away but still got charged £3.75 on my phone bill. I emailed their support, and now they want my number to refund me, but I’m really not sure I should trust them with it. Feels a bit dodgy to me 😕

ABSOLUTELY A RIP-OFF, HAVE ALREADY TOLD THE POLICE... They took £4.50 from my mobile on four different times. Since I hadn’t paid my bill yet, I was told that amount would be taken off my charges. But now, they’ve gone back on what they said and I have no choice but to pay this dodgy fee. They hide behind their "account terms" to carry on with this scam. Really annoyed about the whole thing.

This number has somehow taken £4.50 from my bank on four separate occasions without me knowing a thing. I’ve let Vodafone know about it and I’m planning to report it to the police as it’s clearly a scam. Also, if you try texting STOP, they still charge you, so watch out!
