Legitimate caller! It was NatWest’s fraud protection team. Shortly after I made an online purchase, I got a call which raised my eyebrows. Feeling a bit wary, I rang up the bank myself. They confirmed that the number was genuine and that they were just doing a routine check-up.

I received a call from what was purportedly the fraud team of NatWest, and it was quite peculiar, to say the least. A robotic voice greeted me, requesting to speak with my son by his name. Then, it proceeded to present an array of options, seemingly intended to keep me entangled in their automated loop. After pressing a few random digits, I was left listening to hold music for a couple of minutes - a rather nice touch, if I’m honest - before being connected to someone. However, rather than the familiar “William,” I encountered a smooth-talking lady with a lovely Scottish accent asking for my personal information. At that point, I decided it was best to end the call.

I ended up calling NatWest using the number on the back of my card and it turned out the message and call were legit.

From somewhere in Glasgow, I've had three calls, and weirdly they knew my name. It was a recorded message claiming to be from Natwest's credit card fraud team. They asked me to press 1 but I didn’t. Got a call earlier from someone who sounded Indian, said they could help me find a job and then asked how much I earn right now. I've got one of those call blocking systems on my phone to stop these kinds of calls but it never seems to work. I really have no idea who these people are or why they keep calling, it's so frustrating they can't be blocked for good!

Somebody rang me saying they were from NatWest and wanted me to share my bank details over the phone. I quickly logged into my banking app and there was nothing wrong with my account. It’s got all the signs of a scam for sure. Even if the number looks legit, I’ve learned from a past job that callers can make it show up as whatever they fancy. So, don’t trust a believable number straight away. Never hand over your banking info just because someone asks over the phone!

Today I got a call from Nat West’s fraud team, not a scam at all. They asked me about my last 3 transactions to check there wasnt any suspicious activity. The call was automated and asked some questions only me and Nat West would know to confirm it was me. So yeah, it was legit, just thought I’d share! Cheers.

This isn’t a scam at all. I got a call from this number right after I made a purchase online, and it was actually the Natwest fraud prevention team on an automated line. They asked me to confirm a few recent charges on my card. The info they gave me was something only Natwest would know, so I’m pretty sure it’s genuine.

Today I received a trio of calls - one on my mobile and two on the house phone, all claiming to be from the NatWest fraud department regarding my debit card. They even mentioned my name! However, I didn’t follow their prompt to press 1. After dialling the number back, they instructed me to press any key. Naturally, I reached out to NatWest directly, only to find out it wasn't one of their numbers. Quite suspicious, isn’t it?

I posted before about a call from 08000152006 which played a recorded message about some fraud on my son’s Nat West account. After that, it rang a couple more times but no message. Turns out it really was Nat West calling! The "fraudulent" activity was just my lad spending £3 on a meal deal, then £6 on chicken using his card. After that, they blocked his card and stopped any more purchases. Honestly, the whole thing seems a bit over the top, I’m thinking of blocking the number because this service feels a bit pointless!

Been getting calls from this number three separate times today. Each time it’s some recorded voice saying there’s suspicious activity on my son's account. Thing is, his account isn’t connected to our home phone at all - he uses his mobile and email to log in. Pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to trick us.

I got a call from this number and decided to check with Natwest myself. They told me it’s actually their official fraud line - the number they use to contact you if they think there’s dodgy activity on your card and have frozen it to be safe.
