Indeed, I had a similar experience where they presented themselves as Microsoft support. I never got to speak to an actual person; they merely directed me to call a number, insisting my computer was compromised by some pesky malware that was supposedly thieving my passwords and bank information. I’m really pleased I took the time to look up the number online, and I appreciate your confirmation that it was indeed a scam. I might just ring them up for a bit of fun and waste their time!

I received a rather alarming phone call advising me to ring this number immediately, threatening that my computer would be switched off if I didn't comply. The caller, purporting to be from GooglappsIs security, insisted that my computer was infected with a virus. They demanded a hefty fee of at least £200 to fix what they alleged was a serious problem. To make matters worse, they claimed my bank information, photos, and other personal details had been compromised, and I had a mere five minutes to sort the whole mess out. It all felt incredibly dodgy!

Fraudulent activity, that.

I was indulging in an episode of The Mentalist on a free streaming site when an intrusive pop-up appeared, warning me that my computer had been infected with a virus. It insisted that I call a particular number, claiming that my device had been compromised and my personal information-like my identity, credit card details, and Facebook credentials-had been pilfered. Out of sheer panic, I dialled the number provided. The chap on the other end nonchalantly informed me that I had contracted a "porn virus." The irony? I've never even ventured onto such sites, as I've got kids around and have ensured that those kinds of pages are blocked for their safety. He then proceeded to tell me that they could "assist" me for a hefty fee of £199. Please, whatever you do, steer clear of this-it's an outright scam.

I had quite the alarming experience recently. A message flashed on my screen claiming that a hacker was siphoning off my credit card and Facebook information to some remote server. They went on to say that if I didn’t call the number they provided, my computer would be rendered useless. When I did make the call, it was glaringly clear that it was nothing more than a dodgy scam.

For heaven's sake, steer clear of this number! I can't fathom how they manage to transmit messages straight to your device. It's quite baffling!

I just had a chat with them and managed to see through their ruse before they could even mention any cash. The bloke claimed to be from Microsoft, so I asked him if he was the one who’d popped that error message on my PC, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was all a con. He was almost pleading with me to install some software. Quite sketchy, if you ask me!

I was quoted a whopping £200 to sort out a supposed virus. When I called it out as a scam, the bloke just chuckled!

Whatever you do, steer clear of calling them! They attempted to fleece me for £300 to resolve an issue that didn’t even exist. And get this - at the unearthly hour of 3:40 am, they claimed I was browsing a “naughty site”! I was fast asleep, as I had a job to get up for. What a farce!
