So I looked up BUPA yesterday and started a quote but didn’t finish it all the way, though I did put my phone number in at the beginning. I suppose just clicking through the website is enough for them to save your number and send it to their marketing team. There’s a part early on that mentions you have to get in touch with them to stop marketing calls, but there’s no checkbox or anything to opt out then. I kinda thought that since I didn’t finish the quote, they wouldn’t bother me. Turns out I was wrong.

Just like others mentioned, this is BUPA ringing back after you got a quote from them. I'd recommend giving them a made-up number like 07999999999 so they don’t keep hassling you. If you’re seeing this now, it's probably too late, but might be handy for next time you fill out a form.

Got a call from Bupa like 10 mins after I looked up a quote online, just to chat about private health insurance. I blocked the number straight away since I’m not interested. They make you give your phone number even if you’re just checking stuff out, but they don’t show any prices or examples unless you get a proper quote. Bit annoying really.

It turns out this number belongs to BUPA health services. They've been pestering me with two or three calls daily, which I had been ignoring until today. Apparently, they got hold of my number from a health check I had with them a few years back, and they're now attempting to push another one onto me. I made it quite clear how frustrated I was with their incessant calls, and they’ve assured me they will delete my number from their records right away.
