It turns out this wasn't a genuine Prudential number at all; the official Pru number is actually 0800-000-0000. It seems another company had been calling, merely swapping the last digit for a '1'.

On the 14th of April, 2009, at 19:47, I received a call from this number. As soon as I answered, there was nothing but dead air on the other end. Quite peculiar, really!

Gave 0801 a ring back and turns out it’s Prudential Ins. Ltd on the line. They claimed it was a blunder and assured me we won't receive further calls. What a load of nonsense! I'm definitely going to report them since that number's been marked as a no-go for us. They really shouldn’t have been in touch at all.

This number has been calling us twice a day, but there’s never anyone on the line. It would be wonderful if they could just stop!

We've only just received one of these ourselves. I decided to return the call and was greeted by a recorded message mentioning Prudential. The chap on the other end then started probing for information about us-our identity, the phone number, and our service provider. I firmly told him that was quite enough and that I wouldn't be sharing any personal details since I don’t hold any policies with Prudential. I told him to cease calling me! Now, I'll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

I returned the call to 08000000001, and it turns out it belongs to Prudential Insurance Limited. They claimed it was all a mix-up and assured me that I wouldn't receive any further calls. What a load of nonsense! I'm definitely going to report them since our number is ex-directory and they shouldn't even have it in the first place.

After receiving another of those silent calls yesterday, we decided to give the number a ring back. To our surprise, it connected to an automated message identifying itself as Prudential. We waited a bit and lodged a complaint with a representative who assured us she would escalate the matter to the appropriate team to prevent future occurrences. However, lo and behold, we got yet another silent call from them today. It’s worth mentioning that we are also on the Telephone Preference Service list.

I've received calls from 0800 0 01 at various hours, but strange as it seems, there's never anyone on the other end. They're quite consistent in just hanging up without uttering a word!

I received a call just now, but there was no one on the line. When I tried to return the call, it turned out to be Prudential Insurance, a company that really ought to be avoiding contacting us since we're on the Telephone Preference Service list! Quite frustrating!

I've had this number, 0800 000 0001, calling me at all sorts of hours, yet there's never a soul on the other end. It's the most frustrating thing-every time I pick up, they just hang up! What’s the point, honestly?

I've been getting calls from 08000000001, but they seem to disconnect as soon as I pick up. Does anyone have a clue who these folks might be? I'm a bit perplexed, especially since our number is supposed to be ex-directory. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
