We got a call from someone who provided American Express card info, but as usual, we request the billing address and a return phone number. After running a name and address verification, Amex advised us to tell the customer to contact them immediately. We dialled the number the caller had given us, but it turned out to be incorrect. When the person answered, they said it was the wrong number and had no clue about the situation despite my explanation. The incoming call came from 07999 99999 and the name used was Andrea Marando.

I’ve gotten multiple calls over the last few weeks on what I found out is apparently Sir Richard Branson’s mobile number. Every time I pick up, the call just drops straight away. Really odd!
