Got calls from this number four times over the past couple of days. Didn’t pick up cause I didn’t know the number and lately I’ve been getting loads from Scottish Power as well. I blocked one number but they just phoned from a different one, so I blocked that too. Seeing the comments here makes me think this might be them again, so I’ll just block yet another number. I’ve ended up blocking so many now after looking them up on this site - it’s getting really ridiculous. Isn’t there any way to stop this? Feels like harassment to me.

I don’t get why folks always call them idiots. Call centres usually ring from mobile digits nowadays since people tend to pick up mobiles more often than landlines. Surely that’s better than having the number show up as private or unknown?

I keep getting calls from this number over and over, it's really frustrating. Had the same thing happen with a different mobile a while back. Looks like they're switching to mobile phones now, and my block list is just getting ridiculous because of it.

Just like what others said, they called asking about a prepay meter and whether I might qualify for any benefits or deals. I think these calls mostly come from when you fill out online surveys or join contests. Usually, after you enter a free prize draw, they hit you with loads of pages full of 'offers' and you tick yes or no. That’s how most of these firms seem to get hold of your details.

Got a call on my phone today from a number I don’t know. Didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or anything, so doesn’t seem like it was urgent. Some people, eh?

Some bloke rang me claiming it was about my electric and gas meters. I told him I’m going into hospital for surgery soon, so I’m not really up for dealing with this right now. Still, now that I’m thinking it over, it’s odd they used a mobile number instead of a proper landline. Makes me a bit wary, to be honest. On the other hand, he did seem to know I’ve got key meters - so I wonder, was that just a lucky guess or has he been digging around to find out?
