I've been receiving a weekly call from this number, and since it's not saved in my contacts, I've chosen to disregard it. After a while, I thought it might be worth returning the call, just in case it was something significant or perhaps a mate reaching out from a different phone. To my surprise, every time I tried to ring back, all I got was a monotonous beep. It looks like my call wasn't permitted on this number, which gives me the impression that it might be some sort of cold caller or a scam! Just a word of caution, everyone. Stay vigilant!

some guy said his name was robert with a scottish accent. he claimed he was ringing from something called "home". i told him straight away i wasn't interested, which seemed to catch him off guard. he fumbled a bit before mumbling “ok sorry”. i just said goodbye and ended the call. sounds like a total scam to me.

A home security company based in Edinburgh has been ringing people all over the EH5 postcode, saying they have grants available for window replacements. When I asked where they got my number from, he just said "some national list" and that the TPS didn’t apply because this was about funding. He said he’d ring back in three days to follow up. I told him not to bother, he just chuckled. Lucky I’m nowhere near Edinburgh, but even if I was, there’s no way I’d ever give any details to a cold caller like that.
