6 yearsReceived about six calls this morning from some kind of scam. First, an automated voice says there’s suspicious activity on your internet and to press 1 for details. After that, they connect you to someone claiming to be from BT, saying there’s illegal stuff happening on your connection. They say they work for BT, Sky, and other companies, and use various numbers - some beginning with 0208. Usually, they ring once, and when you pick up, they hang up quickly to "check the line," then call back to start the scam. My advice: never share any details. What we did was ask them to provide the full name on the account and which provider they were calling about.
