Some bloke with a foreign accent rang me up, saying he found a scam account opened in my name about a decade ago. I never set anything like that up, so I just hung up right away! Would definitely tell anyone else to do the same.

Usually, I just ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, especially mobiles, but this time I picked up. The woman on the other end said she was from O2 and gave her name. I told her I wasn’t an O2 customer, and she just said “Alright then” and hung up. I’m registered with the TPS but still get loads of these suspicious calls. My phone didn’t show any scam alert for this number, or I’d have blocked it straight away. Stay clear and block, because O2 wouldn’t ring someone who's not one of their customers out of the blue.
