I got a call from someone claiming they were ringing about my life insurance with Aviva, trying to offer me a way to lower my premiums. They asked me to verify my name, which they obviously already knew, and then wanted me to confirm my postcode. Funny thing is, the postcode they gave was nowhere near where I actually live. When I pointed out that if they really were from Aviva they’d already have the right postcode, the caller just went quiet and hung up. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
