This bloke called claiming he was from EE. He was really pushy, trying to sell me stuff but not in a nice way. Got a call today from someone saying they were with EE. They said as a loyal customer I was eligible for a fresh deal and a new handset. I'm only thirteen and a few hours after giving my number to my mates, I picked up a call thinking it was them. I said “hello” and this bloke, probably in his thirties, goes “hello mate, it’s EE here about your next payment.” I knew straight away it was a scam, so I played along without sharing anything personal. That number is definitely a scam, so please get rid of it immediately. I confirmed with Orange, and their text messages will always come from either 150 or show up as Orange. There's never any random sequence of digits involved. Believe me when I say this-I just wasted a good few hours on the phone trying to resolve some dodgy dealings related to our account, and we received numerous texts from that suspicious number.
